Vintage Button and Fabric Flower Gift Box
September 20th, 2008 in galleryThis charming gift box is approximately 7" in diameter, painted satiny black and lined with a sheer pink fabric. The top is quilted and stippled with gold metallic thread on black silky fabric, and embellished with vintage buttons and a gorgeous pink sheer fabric flower. The outside edge of the top is embellished with a gold and rhinestone beaded ribbon. What a sweet little gift box to hold a precious treasure for a very special someone!
I love to paint and embellish boxes for all kinds of occasions! They are perfect for gift-giving, for storing little treasures that just don't fit into a scrapbook of memories, and for decorating your personal creative space. I love to use vintage buttons and beads, ribbons, lace, charms, quilting, stippling, patchwork, couching, and any other technique that I can think of. My goal with all of my creations is to inspire and encourage other creative spirits to discover their own passion for beauty, and that is why my challenge submission should win the prize!
