Get into the Fall Spirit with the Leaf Peeper's Tote
September 27th, 2008 in sewing, quiltingI woke up this morning and looked out my window—red maple leaves were falling from the tree outside. When I checked my email, I saw this tote bag in my hot downloads from Clotilde. It's the perfect project for a rainy weekend like this. I love the design—I think it's very stylish and it would go great with all my sweaters that I need to dig out of storage. If you're like most quilter girls, I bet you can find lots of fall colors that go great together in your stash of scraps. And, if you have any faux leather, or Ultrasuede, you're all set! (I might even use some of my yummy olive green, butter-soft suede I've been saving!) Happy fall sewing!

I'm SOOO glad you posted this. I'm a fabric dyer and I saw a quilt using this pattern at a restaurant last week. I took lots of pictures and have been trying to draft this block for two days! Now I can use up a slug of my hand dyes on this pattern. Thanks big time
