Seattle Hearts Sweet P, Sage and Ghosts in the Garden
November 2nd, 2008 in sewing, other crafts, fashion
In true Seattle fashion, it was raining cats and dogs. But that didn't stop the super-style die-hards from heading on over to Havana, a chic Capitol Hill night-spot, for the long awaited retail launch of Ghosts in the Garden. This limited edition fashion collection was designed by Project Runway Alumn (season four) Sweet P and visual artist Sage Vaughn, and presented by Seattle's Pulp Lab. Last night's party rocked. Sweet P and Sage had just arrived from L.A and they graciously chatted it up with the crowds of fans, shared the details of their experience in creating the collection, and kept the whole party buzzing with energy for hours. The big launch was also one of the first opportunities to see the entire collection together, the dresses have been showcased throughout Seattle boutiques for the past month and at the party they made for a fantastic focal point. It was very cool to see how they played off of each other when assembled as one collection. Sweet P was wearing a dress that she had just whipped up from some left over fabric in her stash--it was a twin to one of the dresses in the collection, only done up in a completely different fabric. Not only was her dress something for everyone to envy--so was the huge talent that created it.
From now until December 31st , the entire collection is available (in limited quanities) for purchase through Pulp Lab. Here is an amazing opportunity to put one of these fabulous frocks into your own closet to treasure forever.
