Dava Bead and Trade is one of my favorite bead stores here in Portland, but they also have a fantastic Web site if you aren't local. They have amazing wood, shell, and glass, but their vintage Lucite and semiprecious (such as carnelian, citrine, and moonstone, to name a few) are especially amazing.

If you are here in town, they have great classes and events, including a semiannual trunk show. For more information and an invitation to the sale, sign up for their newsletter. They also have a good selection of books and magazines to browse and a nice big worktable in the back for instant-gratification projects!
