I gave this scarf to Gregg for our first Christmas together and I’ll never forget the look of surprise on his face when he opened up the package. I didn’t use a pattern for it but it was easy once I figured out what stitch I wanted to use. I found some gorgeous worsted weight wool in a rich brick red color. I made a four-inch gauge to figure out how many stitches I would need to make it a certain width. Then I alternated a standard rib stitch with a seed stitch. I made it extra long so that he could wrap himself up against the NYC winter and when he first put it on he said that he felt like a rock star!
