A Ribbed, Seed-Stitch Muffler for My Rock-Star
June 1st, 2008 in galleryI gave this scarf to Gregg for our first Christmas together and I’ll never forget the look of surprise on his face when he opened up the package. I didn’t use a pattern for it but it was easy once I figured out what stitch I wanted to use. I found some gorgeous worsted weight wool in a rich brick red color. I made a four-inch gauge to figure out how many stitches I would need to make it a certain width. Then I alternated a standard rib stitch with a seed stitch. I made it extra long so that he could wrap himself up against the NYC winter and when he first put it on he said that he felt like a rock star!
