Holiday Sales in Seattle and Los Angeles This Weekend!
December 5th, 2008 in other crafts, holidaysIf you're on the West Coast, there are two awesome craft fairs going on this weekend: the BUST Craftacular in Los Angeles, and Urban Craft Uprising in Seattle. Along with dozens and dozens of talented vendors selling their work, each sale offers some cool extras along with the handmade work to browse.
The Craftacular offers a DIY station to make your own gift wrap along with DJs, goodie bags for the first 100 shoppers, and an open bar from 4-5 pm. Just check out this vendor list, too -- some of my favorite jewelry and accessories makers will be there, like Charcoal Designs and The Weekend Store.
Saturday, December 6
11-6 at the Echoplex, 1154 Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles
Urban Craft Uprising is a two-day event with all kinds of cool things in store. Along with fun swag bags and giveaways every hour, one of the bonuses is that they're hosting craft book author signings at the UCU booth, both days! Alicia Paulson will be there on Saturday from 1-2 with her lovely new book, Stitched In Time. And the vendors are a fantastic crew of makers, from Totinette jewelry and accessories to glamscience giltter goods.
Saturday and Sunday, December 6 + 7
11-5 at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall
Don't miss these great events if you're within shouting distance!
