New Lampwork Bloom Pendants...new blown glass technique with 24kt gold!!!
January 26th, 2009 in other crafts, fashion, gifts, jewelry making, galleryHi everyone, my name is Nick Anderson. I do lampwork glass in Santa Cruz, California. These two pendants are a couple of my most recent projects...I strung both of them on a nice satin ribbon that is a bit translucent to compliment the glass. The first piece is made with 24kt gold using a process called "fuming" where gold is vaporized in the torch and deposited onto the surface of the glass. The gold is then worked into the design in the form of the flower that you see. The second piece is made with colored boro...these are some of my favorite colors (the translucent color for the flower petals especially). If you would like to see more, I have my work on etsy at www.andartglass.etsy.com. There should be a link for it in this post as well. Thank you!
