The perfection of her handstitching is jaw-dropping when you realize that it was done by hand.

If Erika Kern were a holiday, she would definitely be Valentine's Day. Spend just five minutes with her or her work and I guarantee you'll feel like you're falling in love. I got to hang out with her a few weeks ago at CHA, and she is one of those people who simply makes you feel good—and crafty. Check out the pictures of what she did with some DMC embroidery floss (her favorite), my CraftStylish T-shirt, and about 45 minutes. The next day when I walked around CHA in my fab restyled tee, people actually stopped me and marveled that her exquisite stitching was done by hand and not machine. Truly, she is scary-good and I am a huge fan. That's why I was thrilled this week to learn that I am not the only one: Etsy just featured Erika's mad-cool Valentine project on their site. Now thousands more will discover what we already know: This girl is a genius.
