Lazy Susan Cutting Mat
June 27th, 2008 in sewing, paper crafts, quiltingI'm cutting out a lot of diamond shapes today and I just had to blog about how much I love my new lazy susan(rotating) cutting mat. Mine is from Olfa, but there are probably other manufacturers as well. It's 12 inches square. I believe they come larger as well, but I wouldn't want one too large -- just big enough to accommodate the shapes I'm cutting. The mat rotates, which means I don't need to pick up my work when I'm ready to cut the next edge. Genious! I've always felt that tools can get out of hand and it's best to stick with the truly useful ones. Well, this one is definitely a keeper. It's not a small investment -- around $50 -- but if you cut a lot of patches, it's worth it.
