In less than a half hour you can make a cute ice cream pin for yourself or a loved one.
Supplies needed are:
wool felt scraps (at least 2 different colors)
Sewing machine
Iron
Fusible Webbing
Pencil
Embroidery Floss (at least two different colors)
Button
Needle
Scissors
Glue gun
pin back
Let's begin:
Take a piece of felt and sew down lengthwise and widthwise creating a checkered effect.
Draw out the cone on fusible webbing (paper side)
Iron on to your stitched felt
Cut out cone
peel away webbing
Iron on another piece of felt using the same color with webbing face down
Draw ice cream scoop on fusible webbing. Iron on to different color felt. Cut it out.
Embroider sprinkles and sew button to top for cherry. I made sure that the cherry was stitched several times to make sure it would not come off easily.
Sandwich the cone part in between the ice cream and the back of the scoop
Iron all together
Add clear fabric glue to the back to make sure they all stay together.
With a glue gun, glue pin backing to the back of your ice cream.
With a small strip of felt, glue across backing to keep a better hold.
Stick to your shirt, sweater, bag, friend, etc.
