Make a Vase Out of a Plastic Bottle
April 2nd, 2009 in other crafts, restyleWith spring apparently arriving soon (snow outside says otherwise to me...), it's the perfect time to fill your home with little bouquets. And instead of taking your plastic directly to the recycling center, you can reuse it first by creating these pretty plastic vases. All it takes is a few clever cuts and folds, and no one would guess that they're made from a plastic bottle! Beach glass or floral marbles help the vase stay stable so that you can fill it with flowers.
I actually used this same idea with plastic party cups (red or yellow 16-oz. cups) to create cute little baskets for easter treats waaaay back, so there's another idea for this technique. Check out the great step-by-step tutorial right here, via Dollar Store Crafts.
