I tried an experiment in Warp #9 and left 1/4" gaps in the reed between groups of threads.  The hope was that this would create a very drapeable shawl that would also be comfortable gathered up round your neck and worn as a scarf; the fear was that it would produce too loose a fabric to be practical.  Oh, happy day!  My hopes were realized and my fears quelled: Scarf #30 turned out exactly the way I'd hoped.

The springy colours were chosen in defiance of the big snow storm that hit here on March 30: 15" of snow after a beautiful, spring-like weekend.  Fortunately, there's still some spring on my loom!
