More Tote Bag Inspiration from Don't Quilt Your Day Job
July 3rd, 2008 in other crafts, fashion, restyleThe fuse has been lit and as you know our bag challenge is set to explode on July 14th (forgive me I am all swept up in Fourth of July metaphor) Here's another great inspiration from Don't Quilt Your Day Job: B.O.B's (bags out of bags) made from ordinary plastic bags, offer a hip and 'green' alternative to more conventional tote bag materials. The process, described on the website as 'top'secret', involves a mysterious folding technique, and basic quilting--but crafty-types like us are adept at crafty detection and innovation, after all a great part of being a crafter is figuring out 'how did they do that?'
The B.O.B 's are available for purchase and a trip to the site is in order as the bags are not the only unique craft to behold. Be sure to check out the amazing and whimsical quilts too. Don't Quilt Your Day Job is going to be at the Renegade Craft Fair in San Francisco (we'll be there too. You???) I am looking forward to meeting up.
