Check out this great Summer Top tutorial from Betz White, posted on Craft (they are hosting a month of "refresh"ing fashion projects). She'll show you how to cut up a pillowcase, and, with the simple addition of shirring and straps, transform it into a cute summer top. I love the hint of rickrack at the bottom edge, too!

While you're there, check out my ruffled cardigan tutorial and this sweet Crochet Embellished Tank by Dolin O'Shea.
