Knitting and crocheting little bags for summer can be addictive—but sometimes finding the perfect handle for your bag is the biggest part of the challenge. Jesse Breytenbach of JezzeBlog shares her clever handle-making technique: She uses clear plastic piping from the hardware store. You can thread a crocheted chain or a knitted eye cord through each handle for a pop of color that's sure to be a perfect match, and her construction method makes it easy to remove the handles should you ever need to wash the bag—genius! Head on over to her blog for the full scoop.

I covered the albums in a clear plastic and used a large stitch to sew. On the end of the handle tubing I used a grommet (had to put the tubing in the hot sun to soften it enough in order to apply the grommet) and a jump ring. It was a bit of work but it made a fun purse since I used Greece with John Travolta as my album cover.
