I found this craft simple and fun. I combined this idea with Martha stewerts button clock. I used a clock from the dollar store which cost 2.99 then i opened it up and gave it a new background with some scrapbooking paper. I then glued on the buttons at the hourly mark and closed it up again. Remember that you should try to not touch the glass because when you put it back together its a pain to clean the inside of the clock. It will take away from your final product.
