An Evening of Crafty Stories
June 8th, 2009 in other crafts, knitting, crochet, memory makingOn Thursday night, The Lion Brand Studio in NYC was filled with creative crafters sharing their stories with an enthusiastic audience. It was an entertaining night filled with thought provoking stories ranging from side-splitting humor to heartbreaking sadness. We heard stories from Patty Lyons (studio manager for Lion Brand), as well as five storytellers chosen from over one hundred submissions on The Lion Brand website, and finally by two familiar faces here at CraftStylish.
I thought I knew what to expect from CraftStylish alums Michaela and Jeffery, but I was blown away by their storytelling skills. I was also impressed by the first time performers chosen from the Lion Brand website. Jill Braun (How it All Began), Rita Brasen (Bella’s Gift), Pat Myer (Stars for the Flag), Jeanne Sarosy (The Mad Hatter), and Susan White (Making it on the M7) told their stories with great skill and passion.
It was great to catch up with two good friends and a real treat to hear such inspiring crafty stories from everyone involved. Check out the Lion Brand website for more special events.
