Mini Monster Pouches
June 28th, 2009 in sewing, fashion, gallery
This is a very small adaptation of my original drawstring backpack design. Folks tell me that these fun little pouches are great for carrying all sorts of items. They are big enough for your iPhone or Blackberry, and they are fit an iPod Touch or most models of smartphone.
A point-and-shoot camera, like the Canon PowerShot, may fit in here. Check the dimensions on yours. This pouch is 3.5" x 5.5" -- just a little bigger than your typical cell phone cozy or coin purse.
Other uses include: sewing kit, makeup or cosmetics bag, or first-aid kit. One grandmother keeps crayons and toys in hers for entertaining her grandchildren.
With the slim pocket on the back, you could also tuck a lip balm or chapstick in with your credit cards and ID. If you're carrying an MP3 player, this pocket is perfect for your ear buds.
The bodies are constructed of canvas, denim or fleece, and each one is fully lined. The faces are individually designed felt appliques with plastic buttons.
It has a drawstring-type closure that you can tie to your backpack, purse, or belt loop.
