How to Make Knitted Converse Baby Booties

My old college roommate Ruth and I both had an unnatural obsession with Chuck Taylors. When she told me she was pregnant, I knew exactly what that baby needed...a pair of Converse booties to match the ones his mom would be undoubtably wearing at all times.

This is actually the first project I ever knitted, and I was rather surprised at how cute they came out. I found the pattern on CyberSeams and changed it slightly to add the signature Converse stripe (rows 5 and 6).
