I believe what you're referring to is a fphdc (front post half double crochet). This page illustrates where to insert the hook for a front post double crochet- but you use the same technique for a stitch of any height. Just insert your hook from right to left around the stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop, then continue making the stitch as usual.

Can someone please help me with the section called:"Center Flower Motif". For Round 3 of this section, what do you mean by "around post of hdc?" I'm a newbie at crocheting. Please help as I would like to finish this project.

It's definitely worth a shot. This pattern includes stitch diagrams (basically, a map of where to make each stitch) as an alternative to written instructions so it should be really easy for beginners to follow along. Posted: 1:03 am on July 22nd
I just thoroughly increased my crochet skills by working along with that book and so can you!
This bracelet looks awesome, so I'll definitely post it when I'm done. Thanks, Linda!
