this dress is knitted using a garter stitch which is all knitted-- no purling except on the bottom ruffle that was not added created by increasing stitches.
Knitted with size 13 needles made from plastic strips cut from newspaper rain bags. in my city they are blue but since knitting this dress, I discovered they are different colors throughout the country.
This dress was displayed at an art show called Via Affirmative, Minn.  June 2007 at NorthWestern College. It took approximately 3 months to complete from beginning to end.

This gown was desigZned and created by me, Deb Seeger.  I cut rectangular bags into spiral strips them wound into balls just like wool yarn.  I designed the pattern with no expereince in knittting.  The bottom of the gown is a ruffle  which I made by knitting 3 stitches and purling 3 stitches. The original design was for the ruffle to grace the floor but my inexpereince in knitting prohibited me by lack of knowledge in technique. Now, I see I could have knitted the ruffle in sections and seamed it.

Pattern or design used: My own design - Deb Seeger
