I’m always on the lookout for new embroidery projects and this is a great one, I was so excited when I came across these adorable flip-flops. You can check them out yourself at all-embroidery. They are constructed right in the hoop using a machine embroidered appliqué method. If you’re new to embroidery, working on a project like this will really help you learn how to use your machine quickly!

When I e-mailed Daleen, the owner and designer of this website and all the wonderful embroidery projects in it, she very graciously sent me a pdf of the instructions to make these flip-flops. There are very clear photos that show you how to do machine embroidered appliqué as well as all the steps to finish them!

The possibilities are limitless…make a pair of white satin flip-flops for a bride to wear to the rehearsal dinner or to walk down the aisle in. Use vinyl or other waterproof fabric to make a pair of flip-flops to wear at the pool or in the shower when you’re traveling. If you have enough flip-flops, you could use these embroidered pieces to make a comfy pair of summer slippers…use some terry cloth or cotton chenille.

As a side note, if you like this project, be sure to add all-embroidery to your favorite list and check back often, when I visited it again, there were even more styles of flip-flops to choose from!
