Beaducation Online Classes
August 19th, 2008 in patterns & designs, jewelry makingI recently spotted the Beaducation booth at the Bead Expo and got a glimpse of some of their online how-to videos, as well as some truly lovely project samples. The site hosts a collection of wonderful jewelry-making classes taught by expert beaders, and the video tutorials range from free basic technique classes to more involved, step-by-step tutorials for projects extraordinaire.
The free videos include Making Your Own Earwires, Intro to Chainmail, and Stamping on Metal... and on the project side of things, I was especially taken with Laura McCabe's Dahlia Ring, Lisa Niven Kelly's Fleur de Link, and Barb Switzer's Wire Framed Beads.
There is no time limit on classes -- so once you register and purchase one, you can revisit it at any time... it won't expire, which is handy for busy schedules, a quick refresher, or if you're giving it as a gift! In addition to the tutorials, the site also offers kits for jewelry projects, tools, and findings. Keep up with new developments on their blog, too!
After you make this project, show off your work to other members!
