A Girl's Best Friend Tote
July 30th, 2008 in sewing, fashion, galleryThis tote had been in my head for a while and when I saw the contest I knew it was time to create it. I used things that were all in my craft closet: satin material for outside and flowers; faux diamond pieces for the sparkly accents; fabric covered buttons for flower middles; a once black bamboo purse handle painted with metallic gold paint; vintage pearls on the handle and flower centers. I gathered the fabric on the outside to get that puckered look and used quilt batting instead of interfacing to help achieve the desired look. I pulled on the edges of the fabric to make the material look like that.
This is entered into the "All That Glitters" category. Notice how much it glitters in the sunlight?
This tote should win because it is glamorous, sophisticated, unique, elegant, and stands out.....need I say more?
