I used my 4D Embroidery Software to add the Baby Bear.

She's going to have a little Irish in her! Changing the color of the embroidery can completely change the design. On Urban Threads this is done in gray and black...throw a little green and pink in there and wahla!

She is also going to be a little rocker. I added the words with my embroidery software and watched the machine as it went towards the heart shaped cord area. I stop it, changed it to pink, let it embroider the heart and then changed it back to brown.

Here are the adorable onesies I made for my friend Lindsey's baby shower Saturday with Urban Threads designs and a little help from my 4D Embroidery Software. I did use a few tricks along the way!

1. Use a stabilizer that is sticky, yet washes away. I prefer Aqua Magic Plus stabilizer from Inspira. This allows me to use a stick stabilizer, which is best for knits, but also the wash away feature ensures that even if I don't get all the stabilizer it won't be scratching at the baby.
2. I basted in the hoop (if you don't know what that is check out the beginning of this how-to video) and used a water soluble film stabilizer on top of the knit. This was for added stability but also to ensure that my stitches stayed on top of the knit when I was embroidering. I like Dissolve Away also from Inspira.
3. Since these little projects were super small (AW!!!) I un-sewed the seam along one side of the onesie to allow the project to lay flat so I could embroider less awkwardly.
