The triangle on the bottom and the two smaller triangles above (formed by the boxers legs) create an interesting layout.
I really like the lines of this car.
Heres an interesting space.
I like the abundance in the layout, as well as the color story.
Heres an idea for a reflective fabric or other surface. Also interesting are the images produced by selectively covering parts of the car.
These sculpture pieces from the Louvre have a nice handmade quality and sense of roughness in the texture.
A delightfully kooky fabric.

Hello. I'm Alex Sudalnik.

Currently, I'm a senior at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, specializing in knitwear design. I just returned from a year abroad studying in Milan, Italy, and traveling throughout Europe. It was a fantastic experience and had an indelible effect on my perspective of design.

I want to use this blog not only to show you what I do at school but also as an exploration of creativity and inspiration. I am going to do this by sharing with you images, articles, videos, etc., that I am interested in. Whether or not you like something I post is not the point. The point is that you're exposing yourself to new ideas and viewpoints and are free to accept or reject them.

I feel that a designer (in any field of design) should be able to look at anything with a mind of creation—finding inspiration in anything he or she encounters. Whether you like something or not, make sure to step back and look at the piece with eyes of ingenuity and change. Take away something you find interesting and evolve it. Make it your own.

The photos above will give you some practice. They may seem strange or esoteric, but try to find an idea or aesthetic that you can take away.

CraftStylish is obviously devoted to all things craft—but don't let crafty pursuits define what you think and do. The world of design is so vast and full of interesting nooks and crannies to discover and develop! I find these so exciting and interesting! Whether it's fashion, accessories, ceramics, woodworking, jewelry, architecture, product design...anything and everything should pique your interest.

I look forward to exploring these avenues with you in the weeks and months to come!

Thank you so much for your post. I have to say, I agree with you. Creative inspiration comes from everywhere, every day. Being able to view things with a creative eye, makes life way more interesting, and way more fun.

Thank you for sharing your insights, and I look forward reading more.

au revoir,
