Flower Power Bracelet: The Blues
September 11th, 2008 in galleryThis particular piece started off as an exercise for keeping a sketchbook. A post in Craftsylish inspired me to keep one of my own. This was one idea I had while I was at a cafe. Since I promised myself I wouldn't throw any idea away, I quickly sketched it onto a post-it I always have with me. I decided to go and make it yesterday.
It is made with 24g and 26g silver wire, pearls, new jade and jewelry wire. The flowers were a bit time consuming and I spent most of the evening finishing it. I wouldn't sleep until I was done making it.
It's quite light and dainty. Plus the wire woven into each flower adds texture and color to this simple design.
