I LOVE CRAFTS! Crafts of all kinds. My husband says I have more crafts in my sewing room than I will be able to complete in my lifetime. Although he didn't phrase it quite like that - he says "You will never do all this stuff before you die!" That's a man for you!

My love of hats, and dressing up led me to the Red Hat Society. I am a member of the Border Belles. In two years I have designed and collected nearly 30 red hats, and 2 purple ones so I will have a choice when it's my birthday month! Our spare bedroom is dedicated to my beautiful hats, purple outfits, jewelry, shoes and purses.

I don't know how I survived before eBay! What a great way to shop! It is so much fun to receive those treasures in the mail! No matter what it is - I know I can find it eventually on eBay! All of my red hats are thanks to eBay!

One of my biggest pet peeves is woman who do not take pride in their appearance! How sad to see a beautiful woman dressed in cut off shorts and a mis-matched printed tee-shirt in a waiting room full of people! No make-up and hair with 4 inches of slightly graying roots pulled back in a pony tail! COME ON GIRLS! A cute short outfit, adorable shoes and purse - not that hard to accomplish or afford! (I take my soap box everywhere I go!)

I am thrilled to find CRAFTSTYLISH! The name alone says it all!

Re: Zippers (Part 1)

I should have read more comments before I posted mine. DAYWEAR you said it better than I did, especially the part about not cutting off the top until you unzip!

Re: Zippers (Part 1)

Yvonne - I loved your idea! Thanks for posting it. I've been sewing for over 30 years (since I was a child!) but I've never thought of doing it that way.

Simply use a zipper longer than you actually need. After sewing both sides and removing the basting, un-zip down past your top seam allowance then cut off the excess top of the zipper. I love it!

Can't believe I haven't thought of that myself! Thanks again!

Re: Quilled Note Cards

Your note cards are fabulous! I just purchased my first Quilling kit and can't wait to begin. I have two questions:

1. Any suggestions for a beginner?

2. Do you share your design instructions, and if so how may I obtain them?

Also, I just found, and signed up for CRAFTSTYLISH. I love it! This is my first post!
