The artist formerly known as Sue B. Weaves, I have decided to come out of hiding for the past six or so years and get with the program. I love to design and have worked with weaving, dying, pattern drafting, sewing, marketing, doing shows, knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, collages, painting, you name it... I will try it.
Currently Im trying to find a niche doing art from recycled (isnt everyone) stuff. The number one reason is because I have always been a hippie at heart.. and yes, Im old enough to have been alive in the 60s... although barely.

I married an old hippie with beautiful long hair and we live in the country on 1.25 acres with rabbits, deer, finches, grosbeaks, sparrows, porcupines, wild turkeys, squirrels, beavers, raccoons and a very fat cat named Karl A.

Tote-ally crafty bag challenge

Knitted from Reynold's Lopi which felts up kinda furry, this organic bag design is my own. Everytime I do it, it felts up differently... very cool. I add the organic freeform bobbles and stuff and...

Re: Calling All Crafters...

If you have collected too many ornaments for your Christmas tree over the years, you can still display them during the holiday season. After Christmas I purchase evergreen swag for little or nothing on the clearance rack. The next year after I trim the tree, I hang the swag over the windows (we have two bays) and hang the extra ornaments from those branches. The ornaments can be hung with hooks and the branches arranged at different levels for an attractive display or you can vary the height of each ornament with the use of fishing line. Wind a few tiny white lights through the swag before hanging the ornaments if you are close to an outlet and you have a festive room(s).

Re: Check out This Vintage Pattern Treasure Trove on Etsy

Before I quit smoking, I was about a six 6 and used my mom's old patterns to fashion dress clothes for work at the 57th session of the N.D. State Legislature. I lengthen skirts and did a few alterations and wowed everyone with my styling new clothes. It goes to show, there's nothing new under the sun.... same patterns, different fabrics and different skilled artists making them. However, even with my skinny waist, my mom's patterns were size 16. That's something that has drastically changed over the years. The actual patterns are well drafted, fit together like a charm and have lots of pieces... peplums were my favorite.

Re: Tote-ally crafty bag challenge

I learned how to do the broomstick in the round on you tube... search out stitch diva videos... I made the pattern up as I went along, but if you give me a little time perhaps I could get it written down and share it. They are the greatest bags and I'm recycling those bamboo purse handles I can't seem to quite collecting... thanks for the compliment.

Re: Gemini Bag - Omni Crafter

Totally cool. I used to be a weaver and had to sell my 16-harness loom, however... now you got me thinking... this is a winning bag design.

Re: Ransom Letter

I love it.

Re: Four More Tote Bag Projects for the Hook and Needle Crowd

THANKS these are great patterns, there's just too many projects and too little time....

Re: Tote-ally crafty bag challenge

I don't read well, I just like to make things... I'm not expecting to win any thing anyway... but I wanted to get going on this very cool website... :)

Re: Tote-ally crafty bag challenge

Thank you, I was also gifted some of this lady's handspun naturally dyed fibers... I can't wait to begin my winter felting kick...

Re: Tote-ally Crafty Bag

I would say, yes, you could carry groceries in it... It's not huge, but if you could find three place mats that matched it would be made larger... When I sew I sew to last. I was thinking this one's so cute, it could be used for carrying my knitting around... thanks for the post.

Re: Boreal Forest Tote

This is a great bag. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Tote-ally crafty bag challenge

Thank you,
The very first afghan I made was broomstick and it was awful, so I never did it again, but moved on to other projects. It was a discovery on You Tube that prompted me to try it in the round. And, it was a Stitch Diva video. She's an awesome designer and I have crocheted a few of her designs. Thank you, this is the first time I have posted any of my work...

Re: Hobo Bags by Artsi Bitsi

I like it... decorator fabrics are great for bags and even jackets.
