I am happily married with three beautiful children. The life is good but ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to become a designer. About five years ago I started a stitchery design company Just A Stitch Away and I also sell little girls hair accesseries, aprons, and bags under another name Tea Rose Company. The business is so small that I call it a Micro business. I love the time I get to design and create; it is such a treat! Aside from my businesses, I love to cook, interior design, quilting, art, and any other craft related activity.

Baby memory quilt

Pink and Brown Handbag

I created this purse my friend who recently had a birthday.  It's a good size so it can carry everything, but it's not too big.  I need to make another one for myself.

Felt hearts

I bought a small container of precut felt hearts and decided to make some Valentine's decorations. One of the pictures show them hanging from the chandalier, but I also used one to make a hair...

Re: My first quilted bag

The purse looks great! I think it shows real creativity when people can put things they already have and make something beautiful. Great job Theemptynest!

Re: Spring Outfit for my little girl

Thank you for your nice comments WendyQM and theemptynest! I appriciate them. I found both fabrics at quilt stores. The green polka dot one was actually in the "all you can stuff a bag for $5 bucket". You never know what you will find!

Re: Wool Felt Purse

I'm so sorry, I've missed all your posts. I've been busy with my blog at tearosehome.blogspot.com. I have a ton of ideas and projects that I post there.

thr3adh3ad- I used a sewing machine to make this bag. For the handle, I cut out stips of felt and folded the edges together and then folding in half. I then hand sewed them on the bag.
