When my boys were younger I would make them clothes: pants, shorts, shirts, hats etc.
When my daughter was younger I would make her lots of clothes, too.
I remember getting a hand-me-down sun suit that I loved...I copied it and made her and her cousin matching sunsuits and hats.
For over the last 10 years I've taught sewing at a school.
For the past 3 years I designed and made costumes for the high school play .

I first started with stamped cross stitch at the age of 5 (I still have the first one I made-so many years ago). My mom showed me how to make a stitch and I did the rest on my own.
posted: 10:58 pm on June 22ndAs I got older (7 years old) I made Barbie doll clothes from rags that we had. At the age of 12 I took a Singer summer sewing class at the local mall. Over the years I taught myself how to do other things. I now teach after school sewing at my daughter's school (for the past 10 years)
