I really like this. I usually write up something very similar each year. There were a couple of things I didn't see on the spreadsheet that I always include: 1. Budgeted amount for each gift/individual, 2. The ACTUAL amount spent for each gift and 3. Suggested places to shop for the item/idea.
It really helps to keep myself organized and to ensure that I've gotten a gift for everyone that's on my list!
Thanks for the spreadsheets though. With a tiny bit of modification I should be able to utilize this with great results!
Just wanted to thank you for your article. Not only for sharing your work, but also the process and the inspiration it took to get you there. For those of us who struggle to work towards being an artistic being, your words become a mantra within the mind.
Erika, I love the design but definitely appreciate the tips on embroidering on stretchy fabric. The fabric I found at home to use is one of my old camisoles.
Re: Decorative Stitched Gift Card Holders
How about felt? There's an awesome post on Craftser where someone posted her project. They are really cute and simple to make!

Re: The Make It Pink Challenge
Can we post to the end of the month? I finally was able to design my project but the stitching will take at least a week I think.
