Repurposing is kind of my obsession...well, it's a sickness. You'd have to see my house, the piles of thrifted sweaters and other clothes I'm plotting to redo. I'll definitely check this book out.

I like the Asian-character buttons. It would be helpful if you described for us in more detail how you made them. Do you use a n off the shelf covered-button kit? Or some other method?

It would be wonderful if you would follow this up and photograph your finished piece when you are done.

I have the opposite problem. What to do about shoes that are too big? I have tried inserts, and sometimes that helps. Any other thoughts?
