How to Make a Bangle from a Vintage Map
Here's a terrific project that'll keep you in touch with where you've been as you venture to places yet to be discovered. They are also the perfect handmade present for any traveler. Check them out: you'll never be lost again!
Papier Machecoupauge
Always loved the look of papier mache... but this way, I can use up extra random bits of paper. By using decoupauge glue instead of that kindergarten pintata making around a balloon flour paste mix...

No worries, Daddies_Whole_World! I actually did a demo at CHA on how to make them, and think I might post a tutorial here.... they're pretty straightforward, if not just a little time consuming. The basic gist is that you have to cut a strip of paper long enough to reach around the outside of the bangle plus a little (usually about 10 inches) and wide enough to curve around plus a little more to fold onto the inside, and then cut it into strips so that it will lay flat once you glue the pieces down one at a time.. i try to line them up on the middle and let the edges overlap a little bit, i like how it adds to the overall look of it.
