I did interface all of the t-shirts before sewing them to cut back on stretching but I think you're still right that stretch could be a concern. I love the idea of using fleece too, I think I'll be making a trip to fabric store tonight to check out my options.

Great tutorial! I did a weaving project like this in grade school and became obsessed with cardboard loom weaving for a few months - it's so fun and easy to do! If you loop all the way around the cardboard and weave on both sides it is easy to make purse/pouch shape using these techniques as well.
