My mom is a stay-at-home-mom/wife/seamstress. I grew up watching her do it all, from alterations for interesting people, to making bibs for a man with Parkinson's, to quilts (galore!) to bridesmaid dresses, to my own wedding dress, which we designed together. She taught me how to sew when I was just 8 and since then I morphed from thing to thing in the craft world until I decided that knitting was my favorite. I suspect Mom did the same thing, since she taught me how to get started on everything. :)
