I have lived in the Inland Northwest most of my life and grew up in the small town of Curlew, WA, about 130 miles north of Spokane.

I love the idea of creating things from scratch, it coincides with my desire to live a more sustainable life. Why go to the store when I can make it and have a fulfilling experience in the process?

When I start on a new project I have an idea in my mind of how that piece is going to look and by the time I am done it barely resembles my initial thoughts. What I have come to love about arts and crafts the most is the process in which I see my creativity take on a life of its own. I get excited to see how the project will emerge as a unique page from the book of my life. When I look back on things I have created I love to remember what was going on in my life during the those times. What season were we in? How old was I and how old were my children?

I currently live in the Spokane Valley and have since 1994. I have a wonderful husband and 4 equally wonderful children. I am the owner of Glisten Salon and Boutique. I graduated from Glen Dow Academy of Hair Design and received a Bachelor of Arts in business from Eastern Washington University.
