Re: Octy, The YarnOctopus
My most remembered birthday gift from a neighborhood friend was a kit of yarn and some eyes to glue on and you made an octopus out of it. The finished product sat in the middle of my bed all spread out, every day. I was so proud I made it and I was probably second grade.

as kids, we always got a pair of our jeans we wore during the winter and were now too short, and cut them off for summer wear; we all need to get back to that idea of reusing what we have; even buying a pair of pants on clearance and cutting and sewing the hem into any length of shorts or crops and embellish the hem as you want with buttons or ties

All the dresses are fantastic; anyone who will take the time and energy to create and make is a winner. Sassy Stripes I really liked and would look fantastic with a pair of platform peep toe slings, and I have always loved Betsey Johnson as I was in high school in the 70's when she caught my interest. She influenced my love of being original in what I make to wear. Every one is a winner.

these will be great for my fabric purses; I was looking for an original "brooch" to use other than my vintage brooches and incorporating old buttons is great; you could make a mound of teeny tiny buttons for the center

as a parent, i don't think I would want anything so small that a child could choke on it if it worked it's way out, like the small bell or squeaker mentioned
