Born in Detroit some moons ago, was taught by my granddad how to sew. Made pillows and sandbags for my daddy as a little girl. Created a handpuppet out of an old suitcoat; won an award in the fourth grade for it. I have two sewing machines that I rarely use because I prefer to sew by hand. I have four kids- all girls, a hubby named Jim and a golden retriever with the kindest eyes. Ive created many a thing from whimsical stuffed dolls to ornate christening/communion gowns. I love God and family and detest gossip. I love rock and roll. I teach yoga to a group of lovely ladies and have a full time job as a legal secretary. Dont love my job but realize Im blessed to have one.

Re: Wool felt and zipper flowers
this is such an original idea. Very clever. Can't wait to see the others when they are done!!

I was glad to read this. I was at the polls earlier and I knew I was going to be standing in line for a while....two hour wait according to the people who were there since the polls opened. I brought my knitting. It sure did pass time and was a conversation piece for me and my fellow voters. It was nice to chat about something other than politics and how long the wait was.
